Often, during the day, I email family members when I find something on the internet which I think will interest them specially. At other times I bookmark a page for myself - and the list is getting unwieldy.
So . . . I created a blog called The Box where I'll bung links I want not to forget. Then, I thought, maybe you might be interested in some of these links too - so I've made it open instead of closed, public instead of private. There won't be posts in the usual way of posts but, as each day goes by, I'll add anything which I think might have a place there - if I do.
Take a look if you like.

Esther this is wonderful..looking forward to exploring The Box!
Love your regular blog Esther. Your interesting box if not careful may end up looking like my attic.
Hello Donna and Alistair. Such different reactions! The Box will be a very hit and miss affair and it won't take me away from this blog. I'm simply putting there things which I don't want to lose track of. I've made it open in case others find some things of interest there too so . . . Donna, I hope you will enjoy checking out the entries . . . and Alistair - I love the idea of it being an attic. Just think of all the story books where wonderful things are stored in attics! People bung things up there, forget about them, then re-discover them by chance; or newcomers arrive and go exploring. It's a kind of magic. You have given me enthusiasm and hope that it really will be a clutter of un-related but wonderfully interesting things!
Esther, you should investigate "Pinterest". It is a newish Social Media arrangement which does exactly salitopwhat you have described - and allows you to "pin things to a noticeboard" so that others can see them. And you make your own collections of things that you like and want to come back to.
Hello Mark. I took a look at Pinterest a while back. Maybe I misunderstood but it seemed to be more picture based and there was a lot of fabric and fashion. I also noticed from comments around the blogs that people like it so much they get sucked in. I really don't want to be sucked into anything more than I am already doing on the internet so this is an easy way to keep track of things.
Thanks for the invite Esther. What an excellent and tidy way of gathering snippets and getting them to stay in one place!
